Living Documentation Event takes place on Thursday October 1st, 2026 in The Netherlands.
Theme 2026: Fast Flow, Strong Foundations
Scaling Shared Understanding in an AI-Accelerated World
Software delivery is accelerating. AI can generate code, tests and documentation in seconds. But shared understanding still requires people.
Living Documentation Event 2026 is a community-driven gathering for people who care deeply about collaboration, clarity and quality. It is a place where practitioners, researchers and thinkers meet as peers. Where ideas are examined, challenged and refined. Where experience from the field meets new perspectives and emerging possibilities.
We are looking for speakers from those shaping new thinking to those applying it daily. People who explore new possibilities. Investigating how AI, BDD, Living Documentation and quality practices evolve. Connecting theory to practice and questioning existing assumptions.
People who are in the trenches. Working in real teams, dealing with legacy, pressure, ambiguity and constraints. Experimenting, adapting and learning. Willing to share what actually happens when principles meet reality. And everyone in between. Coaches, product leaders, testers, developers, architects, change agents. People who help teams protect intent, strengthen conversations and scale shared understanding.
Our audience is diverse but serious. Many participants actively work with BDD, testing, requirements, architecture and quality practices. Others are earlier in their journey and want to deepen their understanding. What they share is curiosity, practical experience and the willingness to engage in real conversations. This is not a passive audience. They ask questions. They reflect. They connect ideas to their own context.
We welcome:
We are interested in real experiences, research informed insights and practical approaches. Stories about what worked, what did not and what changed your perspective. Reflections on how AI can support Living Documentation without weakening the collaboration that gives it meaning. Ways to keep intent visible and shared when everything moves faster.
If you have something that can challenge, inspire or strengthen this community, we would love to hear from you.
Let’s continue the conversation. Please take look at the theme and submission guidelines and submit your proposal via the form below before May 1st, 2026.
